Nurse Technician - Pediatrics

Pediatrics is a special place that requires very special nurses. That's why we offer extensive, preceptor-based programs for nurses and students who want to specialize in pediatrics.

As a Nurse Technician, you may work with one of our exceptional multi-specialty programs or obtain general pediatric training so you can eventually work for one of the highly specialized units like neonatalogy. Our pediatric departments include:

  • Children's Emergency Center - The only pediatric center in Central Florida
  • Pediatric/Adolescent Rehabilitation - A comprehensive, family-centered program
  • Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplants - Central Florida's only provider
  • Children's Center for Cancer and Blood Diseases - Part of the Florida Hospital Cancer Institute
  • 20-bed Level I Pediatric Intensive Care Unit/Progressive Care Unit - The highest level of critical care available for children
  • Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit - The highest level of care available for premature babies and those born with health problems
  • 38-bed Pediatric Unit - Provides care for patients from early infancy through adolescence with medical surgical and hematological/oncology conditions
