Pre-professional Admission Requirements

Nurse Technician Program Requirements

To be eligible for this program, you must:

• Complete your first semester in an accredited nursing program
• Supply a copy of your current college transcripts
• Provide a current resume
• Provide two confidential references (please use our form)

  Note: We prefer your reference order as follows:

  1. Clinical instructor from nursing school
  2. Current employer
• Complete the interview process
• Accept assignments to shifts and areas of need if first choices aren't available

Senior Nurse Technician Program Requirements

To be eligible for this program, you must:

• Be completing your last semester at an accredited nursing program
• Complete a Florida Hospital employment application
• Supply two copies of your current college transcripts
• Provide two confidential references (please use our form)

  Note: We prefer your reference order as follows:

  1. Clinical instructor from nursing school
  2. Current employer
• Be willing to work in a senior nurse tech capacity on an "eligible unit" as indicated by Florida Hospital

Health Unit Coordinator Program

To be eligible for this program, you must:

• Complete your first semester in an accredited nursing program
• Complete fundamental nursing class covering medical terminology
• Supply a copy of your current college transcripts
• Provide a current resume
• Provide two confidential references (please use our form)

  Note: We prefer your reference order as follows:

  1. Clinical instructor from nursing school
  2. Current employer
• Complete the interview process
• Attend a two-week orientation
