Our progressive Occupational Therapy Department offers registered occupational
therapists and certified occupational therapy assistants the opportunity
to work as integral members of an interdisciplinary team.
As an occupational therapy graduate, you may work in one or more of
the following specialties:
- General inpatient rehabilitation
- Acute care
- Head injury
- Oncology
- Pediatrics
- Outpatient neurological and orthopedic rehabilitation
You may also have the opportunity to provide direct patient care in
the following areas:
- Sensory motor function
- Cognition
- Perception
- Functional daily living skills
- Orthotics and prosthetics
- Adaptive equipment
- Community reintegration
- Aquatic therapy
- Infant stimulation
In addition, our therapists provide home and job site evaluations, as
well as patient and family education.
Requirements
Florida State Occupational Therapist license or Florida State Certified
Occupational Therapist Assistant license
